Barakana treats vanilla as a texture rather than a flavour, which is the whole of its argument. Soft white powders and coconut powder open it, giving a dusty, almost cosmetic quality before the vanilla absolute arrives.

That absolute is dark and resinous, but the powder around it keeps it weightless. Palo Santo and white musk finish the composition — a smooth woody glow and a skin-like softness that sits very close.
