Bergamot and spice open with a peppery lift. The heart is rose, though not a delicate one — it is carried on tonka bean, which gives it a smooth, almost creamy weight and keeps the spice from turning sharp.

Oud, amber and musk form the base and hold longest. The oud here is warm rather than smoky, and the amber softens it further, so the dry-down reads rich without ever becoming heavy. A well-judged balance.
