Amour opens on red berries and litchi, lifted by bergamot so the fruit reads juicy rather than syrupy. It is an inviting opening, and a deliberately uncomplicated one.
The heart turns creamy — lily and jasmine softened by vanilla, with a thread of cinnamon giving the florals a little friction. Amber, musk and cedarwood follow, and the wood is the making of it: without that dry finish the composition would be merely sweet. With it, the dry-down settles into something rounder and quieter than the opening promises.
Unisex, and versatile enough for daylight as well as evening.
